Sauk County Humane Society Pets of the Week – March 8, 2010

Nitro is a 3 year old, neutered, gentle giant that enjoys other cats and dogs. This lab cross knows how to sit, stay, come, speak, shake, lie down and roll-over. During a routine check for heartworm, Nitro tested positive. Nitro is being treated thanks to the kindness and generosity of Hill Dale Animal Hospital of Baraboo, the MATC veterinary technician program and our local Merial company representative, all who have agreed to work
together to provide the diagnostics, treatment and aftercare for this wonderful, happy, young dog at minimal expense. Baraboo’s Merial company representative has agreed to provide his adopters with a one year supply of Heartgard, which he will need to be on after his treatment. We are so incredibly proud of how our community has rallied around this big fellow and happy that thanks to this collaboration of goodwill, some lucky folks will have a great companion for many years to come.
Nitro is a hard act to follow, but this is one COOL cat. Kovu is a young, neutered male, fun, fast and furry! It is hard to find Kovu in a quiet moment, but we were able to get this shot of him when we went undercover with our high speed camera. If you decide to adopt this fellow, you might want to purchase a radar gun, cause he is speedy!
To adopt one of these guys or for more information contact the Sauk County Humane Society @ (608) 356-2520 or visit their website at www.saukhumane.org
