Wisconsin State Parks
Here at Skillet Creek we say “Baraboo is base camp!”, so if we can travel to a park, enjoy the day and make it home happy and tired that evening, we’ll talk about it here. Of course you probably know by know that right here in Baraboo you’ll find Wisconsin’s most popular state park, Devil’s Lake. Just a few miles north and you’ll arrive at Mirror Lake State Park. Both just minutes from Baraboo. Heading out a bit further you’ll find Rocky Arbor State Park right in Wisconsin Dells, Natural Bridge State Park even further out, then Tower Hill down by Spring Green, Governor Dodge State Park south of that. If you are really into a day trip, you can take the Scenic 60 over to Wyalusing State Park that sits on the confluence of the Wisconsin & the Mississippi Rivers. Just check out our “Big Map” to put it all together.
