Sauk-Prairie

saukpairie-headSauk City and it’s sister community of Prairie du Sac are located just south of Baraboo on the Wisconsin River.  Sauk-Prairie is another fantastic destination for visitors to the area.  The small communities run along the banks of the Wisconsin River where a beautiful view seems to be around every building.  During the winter months Bald eagles gather on the river which is the basis for the Sauk-Prairie Eagle Days, a popular annual event.  In addition Sauk-Prairie is popular among paddlers looking to run the Lower Wisconsin State Riverway which offers urban free paddling all the way to the Mississippi river 95 miles to the west.

No visit to Sauk-Prairie is complete without a visit to Wisconsin’s Largest Winery.  The Wollersheim Winery offers a European flair nestled in the bluffs on the southern side of the river.  Tours and tastings of their award winning wines are offered daily year ’round.

We Invite you to visit…
